Building bridges from vision to impact.
I build toward the moment the work can carry itself forward.I work with nonprofit leaders at every stage of the organizational lifecycle to build the systems and culture that allow their work to outlast them. Some leaders are building a Foundation. You have a clear vision, real commitment, and a deep understanding of the work you want to build. What you need is the structure that allows other people to see the value of it, support it, and help carry the work forward alongside you. Some leaders are ready to Archive. You have created programs, systems, and relationships that matter. The organization functions because you are the person holding the pieces together, carrying the context, and keeping the work moving every day. Some leaders are leaving a Legacy. You want the work to remain stable after transition. You want the knowledge, relationships, and history behind the organization to survive beyond your direct involvement. At every stage, the work is the same: building a bridge others can walk on.I build the bridge. You walk on it.

FoundationYou have a vision that exists mostly in your head. You can see it clearly. You know what it needs to be and why it matters. But when you try to explain it to a funder, a partner, or someone you want to bring on board, something gets lost. The words do not land the way the idea does. The structure that would make it real does not exist yet.I build that structure with you.
How we work togetherFramework
I build you the tools, the structure, and the roadmap. You take it from there.Record
I work alongside you as you build, capturing and organizing as the work takes shape.Stewardship
I am with you from the first conversation to the finished foundation, present as the culture takes shape so it gets built with intention from the start.
What gets built
Vision and narrative documentation
Program concept and design
Documentation systems and practices
Governance framework
Standard operating procedures
Funding narrative and case for support

Every engagement begins with a discovery session. It is a 90-minute working conversation. You bring what you are building, what is not working, or what you are trying to leave behind. I bring questions. By the end, you will have a clearer picture of what you actually need, and we will both know whether I am the right person to help you build it.
The session is $300. If we move forward together, that amount applies as a credit toward your engagement.

ArchiveYou have built something that works. Programs running, relationships holding, systems functioning. What you have not yet built is the infrastructure that allows it to run without you at the center of every decision, every question, every request for context. You cannot take a real vacation without your phone staying on. You cannot delegate without spending more time explaining than it would take to do it yourself. You cannot grow the work in new directions because too much of what makes it function lives only in your head.I help you capture it.
How we work togetherFramework
I assess what exists, identify the gaps, and give you the tools to fill them yourself.Record
I work alongside your team, capturing what is already functioning and turning it into documentation others can use.Stewardship
I become a working part of your team for as long as the work requires, present not just for the documentation but for the culture shift that makes it stick.
What gets documented
Program operations and procedures
Program history and timeline
Institutional knowledge and founder context
Stakeholder voices and oral history
Relationship network mapping
Knowledge audit and organization

How we work togetherFramework
I build you the structure and the guides so the transition can happen on your terms.Record
I sit with you, listen to what you know, and turn it into a record that can outlast your direct involvement.Stewardship
I stay with you through the full process, present for the conversations that matter, until the culture you built is documented, understood, and ready to be carried by whoever comes next.
LegacyYou are ready to step back. You have earned it. But when you look at what you would leave behind, you realize that most of what makes this work lives nowhere but in you. The relationships, the reasoning, the history, the unwritten knowledge behind every decision. None of it is written down. None of it can be handed to anyone yet.I help you pass it on.
What gets preserved
Organizational history and timeline
Founder's vision and institutional legacy
Unwritten knowledge and institutional memory
Culture, values, and leadership practices
Relationship network mapping
Physical archives and photographs

You spent time on this.Listening, learning, thinking, building. What you have accumulated is worth keeping. A vision not yet written down. A program that runs because you are holding it together. Years of knowledge that lives nowhere but in you.I build the systems that make sure it does not disappear. The approach is specific to you. What do you know that no one else knows? Where does that knowledge need to go? What does it need to look like for the next person to actually use it?The answers become the foundation for the work, and the work goes deeper than documentation. It is about building the conditions for the organization to carry itself forward, with the right people, the right practices, and the right culture in place.BackgroundI spent years in front office and operations management at the Plaza Athénée, the Surrey, and the Ritz Carlton. In those environments, operational clarity, cultural consistency, and attention to detail were simply conditions of the work. You either built systems that held, or things fell apart in front of guests. In the nonprofit sector, I built organizational infrastructure across departments, placed and supported both staff and volunteers, and developed the documentation that allowed each department to function without depending on any one person. I have built programs from scratch, written the grants that funded them, and helped leaders prepare for what comes next. The sectors are different. The pattern is the same. The work in actionA founder had a clear vision and real commitment. What she needed was a way to make other people see it. We wrote it down together, built the narrative, and created the documentation that allowed funders and sponsors to say yes.A volunteer program had four people and no infrastructure. By the time the work was done, there were five hundred volunteers, documented systems, and a structure that did not depend on any one person to function.A director had fifteen years of institutional knowledge and nothing written down. She was the organization. We changed that before she stepped back, so the work could continue without her having to stay.Ready to begin?Start here.
